Understanding SoftTouch Pump Mechanics
The SoftTouch technology integrated into this soap dispenser works much like a precision hydraulic valve in miniature. When you press down on the solid brass pump, it engages an internal calibration spring designed to release a measured portion of liquid soap rather than an uncontrolled stream. Think of it like a fine perfume atomizer or a medical dropper, where every press yields an identical, predictable volume. This prevents accidental over-pumping, ensures your concentrated dish soaps last longer when diluted, and provides a consistently smooth tactile response every time you wash your hands.
Installation Guide
Check that your sink or countertop has a standard pre-drilled mounting hole before beginning setup.
Secure the pump body firmly through the top of the counter using the included under-counter mounting hardware.
Screw the 12 ounce food grade plastic bottle securely onto the threaded shank from beneath the sink.
Fill the reservoir from above by removing the pump head, or unscrew the bottle underneath for thorough cleaning.
Care & Maintenance
Daily Wiping Wipe the oil rubbed bronze finish with a soft, damp cloth to prevent water spots and soap accumulation.
Mild Cleansers Use only mild soap and warm water for cleaning; avoid abrasive scrubbing pads or harsh chemical cleaners.
Finish Protection Dry the metal surfaces thoroughly after cleaning to preserve the rich bronze tone over time.
Spout Maintenance Periodically flush the spout with warm water if using thick soaps to prevent minor clogs.
Bottle Flushing Unscrew and rinse the plastic soap reservoir seasonally to keep the stored liquid fresh and clean.
