Great Choice for New and Remodel Residential Applications
The workhorse of the Panasonic line, WhisperLite is time-tested and customer approved for it's quiet, yet powerful consistency. Rated for continuous use, WhisperLite vent fans are a simple way to incorporate an energy efficient ventilation strategy. And installation is easy-especially in remodeling applications. WhisperLite is UL listed for tub/shower enclosure when used with a GFCI protected circuit.
We set the standard for quiet operation
WhisperLite fans feature a totally enclosed condenser AC motor and a double-tapered blower wheel to quietly move air-even at twice the static pressure as the industry standard. WhisperCeiling exceeds the performance measurement for ASHRAE 62.2, ENERGY STAR® 3.0, and LEED for Homes
WhisperLite is the brightest of all
Lighting is an important part of these codes and standards, so Panasonic fans have the most energy efficient lamps in the industry. We use lamps that squeeze more lumens per watt (greater than 70 LPW!) than other manufacturers do. A 4-watt night light is also included. As an ENERGY STAR® partner, all of our fans are ENERGY STAR® certified, where guidelines exist, and labeled appropriately - so your verifier can confirm you're using an energy efficient and environmentally friendly product.
Freedom to install in showers and the ducting flexibility to get there
Because Panasonic fans are UL listed for tub/shower enclosure (just install them on a GFCI-protected circuit), your installation options open up. WhisperLite incorporates an integrated dual 4 in. or 6 in. duct adapter to give you flexibility in duct layout and design. For short runs, you can go with a smaller duct size, but long runs are OK, too - just move up to the6 in. duct. The double hanger-bar system (expandable up to 24 in.) is ideal for positioning the fan exactly where you want it.
Continuous use is good for Indoor air quality
WhisperLite spot ventilation fans will help you meet ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation requirements for indoor air quality. The ASHRAE 62.2 standard is part of the International Residential Code (IRC), the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), ENERGY STAR® and most green building certifications. The permanently lubricated motors wear at a slower pace and will give you years of continuous, trouble-free operation.
Long life means fewer 'Call Backs' and lower fire risk
When you have a business to run, you don't want to come back to replace little things like a vent fan. Panasonic fans use less energy to move larger volumes of air than other brands. Consequently, Panasonic fans run cooler so they last longer. They are also much less likely to overheat and cause a fire. The motor is also equipped with a thermal-cutoff fuse.
ENERGY STAR®-Certified for Energy Savings
Panasonic's high air-flow-to-energy ratio not only helps the fans run cooler, it means they use less energy - which saves money. Better yet, the fan will not be a hole in the ceiling that will sabotage your blower door test. The built-in metal flange helps create an air barrier so meeting strict energy codes and green building requirements, like ASHRAE 62.2, LEED, and CA Title 24, is a snap.
Lighting is an important part of these codes and standards, so Panasonic fans have the most energy efficient lamps in the industry. We use lamps that squeeze more lumens per watt (greater than 70 LPW!) than other manufacturers do. As an ENERGY STAR® partner, all of our fans are ENERGY STAR®-certified, where guideline exist, and labeled appropriately - so your verifier can confirm you're using a high performing, energy efficient product.

Established in New York City in 1959, Panasonic Corporation of North America was known as Matsushita Electric Corporation of America, until 2005 when its company name was changed to strengthen its connection to the brand and the customer. Throughout its history, Panasonic has made understanding how its products can impact people's lives a core focus for product development and refinement.
Contributing to the Well Being of People Principles
Worldwide, Panasonic Corporation and its subsidiaries are guided by a basic business philosophy created by founder Konosuke Matsushita. He began the journey in 1918 by inventing a two-socket light fixture. Profound in its import yet elegantly simple, Konosuke Matsushita's breakthrough led to what is now one of the world's largest electronics companies. As he built Matsushita Electric, he never lost sight of the importance of putting the needs of his customers and the public first.
That philosophy holds that the mission of the enterprise is to contribute to the progress and development of society and the well-being of people worldwide. This thinking continues to guide management to this day.
In the U.S., Panasonic creates and supports initiatives that contribute to people in the communities where it does business. Such initiatives include the Panasonic Foundation, which partners with school districts that are committed to school reform; Panasonic Kid Witness News, a worldwide video education program for public school children in underserved communities; and Panasonic Design Challenge, a program for New Jersey high schools that encourages engineering achievement, especially related to preserving the environment - and rewards students with scholarships.
Panasonic Corporation of North America is a strong proponent of the responsible recycling of electronics. Panasonic, together with Sharp Electronics Corporation and Toshiba America Consumer Products established Manufacturers Recycling Management Company, LLC (MRM), an EPA-award winning joint venture which manages collection and recycling operations. Working with MRM, Panasonic now has nearly 1800 locations at which end-of-life products can be dropped off for recycling. MRM's mission is to provide convenient recycling opportunities to consumers. Its long-term goal is sustainable electronic product recycling.
On a global basis Panasonic is committed to securing a healthy future for both the planet and its people. The company's founder, Konosuke Matsushita said Panasonic is about more than technologies, as our commitment to "people before products" demonstrates.
The company is pursuing advanced environmental strategies based upon three eco ideals, including reducing its global carbon footprint, vastly increasing the number of energy-efficient products it makes and encouraging the growth of environmental awareness and sustainability worldwide.
